Work in progress

What is the diffrence betwin an accident and a tragedy?
An accident is when a ship full of Gnomes sinks.
A tragedy is if they know how to swim.

My life was once simple, a long time ago when I was 9 years old. Everything changed once my mother died. She was the kindest person in the world and she cared for everyone in the whole kingdom of Kul'Tiras. My mother was a good cook, she loved to make Longjaw Snapper for breakfest and Salmon during weekends. She didn't just cook she also fished. Legends speak of a woman of which even the great Nat Pagle learned to fish, I belive that woman was my mother.

One day my father rushed in and woke me up and told me to hurry up get dressed. We ran out of our house, a house the great Admiral Daelin Proudmoore had given to us for my fathers duties in the wars. It wasn't just a house but a lot of land and power came with it. My father commanded a unit of 10 000 men and had almost half of the entire farmland of Kul'Tiras under his command. Once we ran out of the house we jumped on a horse cart which took us far from the city, the strange thing was there was no guards with us. After traveling the night to a remote area we got on to a small boat and we left Kul'Tiras never to see it ever again. After four days at sea our supplies were running low and my father seemed worried about something. My life would never be the same again.

I woke up the sixth morning at sea and I saw land, my father was using his shovel and broke a hole in the bottom of the hull of the small ship. The next thing I knew I were doing my best to swim to shore it feelt like hours but once I reached it I didnt see my father anywhere. I was lost in a strange land. I looked arround me trying to find some source of civilization to help me rescue my father from the sea, I found a road and I traveled south. I found myself at Pyrewood village, but there were no people to be found anywhere. Now when I knew where I was I knew I was close to Gilneas and wanted to find uncle Pete. Pete had allways been kind to me, he taught me how to find food and how to survive on your own in the wild. But nothing were the same anymore there were foul creatures known as Orcs running freely in the lands of Lordaeron. Once I found myself infront of the great Greymane wall there were no guards there upon it, noone to open the gate. I made a small campfire and tried to rest and accidently fell asleep.

Once I woke up there was a man in armor infront of me, he had a strange sword with an orb in it. The man took me captive and started travel to the east. I feared for my life. About a week after my capture we came upon a city, the man said that is the city of Shouthshore and thats where my new home is. My home? I asked. Yes. the man said. He explained to me how my father destroyed the small boat on pourpus and he knew that I would swim to the shore where the man could find me. I asked the man who he is and why he would have found me there. He told me he were a Paladin known as Tirion and he had bought me from my father to be his slave. He explained to me he would never hurt me and that my father was a criminal about to be exposed by the Kul'Tiras city guard. I didn't understand what he meant but I complied with his every request.

Now I was a young boy a slave with no name, no lands, no titels and lost in a strange land. I knew my father had sent words to uncle pete who knew where I was and would one day come and rescue me. Weeks and months went by. I did my duties I cleaned the stables, took care of the small garden, fed the lifestock and horses and I cleaned the small house where Tirion his two sons and I lived. I feared that father or uncle Pete wouldn't be abel to rescue me from this prison, but atlest I was fed and cared for by my captor Tirion.

As I grew up Tirion would start to train me in doing more complicated tasks such as repairing the small house, the furniture and how to build a new cart. With this new knowledge my hopes of escpaing this place grew, I tought when Tirion would go out to fend off the Orc attacks I would have enouge time to build myself a small boat and flee this place. Afterall who would suspect a 13 year old boy to escape to sea where a strange creatsure lived known as the kraken. The Orc attacks used to go on for about a day or two and sometimes up to a week. I started building a boat just as the men and women went off to war, the young boys start training and preparing the city incase the Orcs would prevail. Just as the boat was finnished I started making the oars, nothing complicated just simple enouge for a quick escape. I put the boat on the sea and jumped in with the oars and then I looked up on the bridge and there he stood. Tirion caught me trying to escape I thought I was doomed.

  • Where did you get the boat, boy? Tirion asked.

  • I made it my lord, just for you and your family.

  • Get out of that thing it wont make it futher than 15 meters.

Tirion took me and pushed the boat out on the water. It went as far as we could see and it didn't sink. Tirion was supprised and commanded me to make another, I worked hard for two days and had a bigger and better boat. As we were about to try it a merchant came in to town and saw the boat, the merchents horse had fallen from an arrow from an Orc raid. He showed intrest in purchesing the boat, lord Tirion made a deal the boat for supplies and my dreams died with it. I was stuck here forever.

The impossible had happened. The vile filthy Orcs had escpaed and the dead were rising from the ground. Tirion was forced out in a fullscale war but before he left he gave me a letter and a horse and told me to travel south to the fort of Menethil Harbor. I had to hurry or the human race would be doomed forever and I knew my father and uncle Pete the last members of my family remaning would also fall. I traveled as fast as I could, I had a small map to navigate by but all I had ever known was Kul'Tiras and the city of South Shore I didn't know what the scale of the map was. About a week went by and I finally made it to Menethil Harbor. Once I reached the gate a young boy no older than 10 took my horse to the stabels and I was escorted to the grand keep. There I meet the commander a Dwarf with a large mug of ale which he never stoped touching.

  • Boy! The situation is dire I'll send as many men as I can to aid lord Tirion in this battle. Go get some rest while I'll prepare.

  • Thank you commander. I said.

I spent the night in a private room in a grand keep for the first time ever since I was a small boy and lived in Kul'Tiras. I liked it here but the commander would send me away on another mission the verry next day. The mission was to deliver a letter to give back to lord Tirion. As I left the keep the young boy returned the horse to me with supplies for the journey. Help. the young boy said. I now realised I wasn't the only slave but I couldn't do anything I had to leave him to his fate. When I was out of sight from the grand fort I opened the letter which said. “Kill the boy, he know to much as this point.” I knew I couldn't return to lord Tirion I started heading south.

Four weeks of my journey took me trough strange places which mostly seemed dead and forgotten until I reached the town of Lakeshire. There a man was looking for a battle ready horse, we made a deal 20 gold coins and a dagger of fine steel, then the horse would be his. As I got what I wanted I head to the local inn to pick up some supplies for my journey. Inside I saw a post it said lord Tirions son had gone missing and a painted picture of me. I quickly got what I wanted and quickly left the city. I had no idea where I was or where I was going. I started heading south east until I got to the mountians which I started climbing, once over it I walked on until I was suddently attacked by the vile creature known as an Orc. I started running until a knight with simmular armor to Lord Tirion charged towards me, I threw myself on the ground and shouted I'm sorry my lord I'm sorry. Then the Orc fell down dead next to me. Get up boy a strange voice said. I looked at the knight it wasn't lord Tirion. The knight explained to me that I wasn't safe in this swamp, the Orc have been attacking his village of Marshtide Watch endlessly. The knight then escorted me to the town.
